GPRT 2023

Government Phonology Round Table

Ljubljana 2023

Government Phonology Round Table 2023 (GPRT 2023) will be held on Friday, June 23 at the Department of Comparative and General Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.

GPRT is a friendly meeting of researchers working within the framework of Government Phonology or GP-friendly phonological theories. After more than a decade, we meet again in charming Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Given the spirit of the round table, there is no registration fee, or even a formal registration. If you would like to attend the meeting, please drop an email to Sašo, indicating your name and affiliation, until June 12.

If you would like to give a presentation, kindly do the same, but include the title and the abstract of your talk in the email. The talk may be on any GP or GP-related topic; the abstract may be in any reasonable format and should not be longer than 500 words. We ask you to communicate the intention to present until April 10, and send the abstract at latest on May 22. As usual, there will be no reviewing process. Closed.

Each presentation will be alotted 20 minutes for the talk, followed by 10 minutes for discussion. If the number of presenters exceeds what we can do on Friday at a leisurely pace, we will continue on Saturday. Friday it is — but you're still encouraged to plan your stay in Ljubljana to include Saturday, or even the whole weekend — we're told it's a great place to visit!

Looking forward to seeing you in Ljubljana!
